My buddy Marc sent me this link to a video basically depicting what a catastrophic meteor crash of epic proportions would look like from outer space. You get to see the collision as well as the aftermath, and better still, you can do all of this without having to hide underground or sacrifice your first born to a wrathful god, which is kind of neat. Plus I think I can see my apartment somewhere around the 3rd minute.

Personally I don’t see this ever happening. My money is on an alien takeover before any natural disaster such as this. However, I do suspect that Pink Floyd’s “Great Gig In the Sky” will be playing during the apocalypse, regardless of how it occurs.
